The geodome greenhouse is a beautiful reminder for me, that dreams can become true. It´s a tea house and there are lots of plants growing in there. I built it with a lot of help from friends in early spring 2016. The dome is a mathematical structure, that can be built in different frequencies. The one that we build is called V2. The higher the frequency, the more triangles are used to approximate the half sphere. Our dome consists of 40 triangles. Due to the sphere form, the dome has a very big volume to surface ratio which causes less temperature loss on the surface area in cold climate. For stabilizing the temperature inside of the dome, even more, we also put a rain barrel full of water inside. Read more about the history of the project here.
Das Geodom Gewächshaus ist für mich eine wunderschöne Erinnerung daran, dass Träume wahr werden können. Es ist ein Teehaus und es wachsen viele Pflanzen darin. Ich habe den Dome mit der Hilfe von vielen Freunden im Frühling 2016 gebaut. Der Geodom ist eine mathematische Struktur, die in verschiedenen Frequenzen gebaut werden kann. Die welche wir gebaut haben nennt sich V2. Je höher die Frequenz, desto mehr Dreiecke werden benutzt um die Halbkugel anzunähern. Unser Geodome besteht aus 40 Dreiecken. Wegen der Kugelform hat der Dome ein sehr großes Volumen zu Oberfläche Verhältnis, was zu weniger Temperatur Verlust in kaltem Klima führt. Um die Temperatur im Dome noch mehr zu stabilisieren, haben wir außerdem eine volle Regenwasser Tonne innen installiert. Lies mehr über die Geschichte des Domes hier.
